Jenny's Bat Mitzvah!

Hey hey hey! Just thought I'd write about one of my BFFLs, Jenny, and her bat mitzvah, which was today.

Before anything else, Jenny, I am SO INCREDIBLY proud of you. You're going to do great things in life. I just know you are.

The service was, to be quite honest, fairly boring, although I paid attention when Jenny talked. (It was easier when she was talking in English. During the parts that were in Hebrew, I just sort of nodded and pretended to get it. Also, I was faking like I knew the songs that half the people were singing by following along from the Torah pamphlet or whatever.)

After the service, we all rode in vans to the Hyatt, where the actual party was going to be, a.k.a the fun part. There was a van packed with girls, and, like, three guys sitting in the back. I almost started laughing hysterically when "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift came on the radio, because every single girl in the vehicle was singing along, and the guys had this pained expression on their faces. It was actually pretty amusing.

So we got to the Hyatt, and we all signed a huge cutout of Jenny, and I totally want one. Not of Jenny, of myself. Seriously, I wanna know where I can get one of those things. And we walked into the Society Lounge, and everything was decorated and beautiful! The theme was designer brands, so all the kids got to sit at the Juicy Couture table :)

Everyone looked stunning, naturally. They were all wearing lovely dresses (not the guys, duh) that ranged from solid colored to bright neon patterns, from floor length to mid-thigh. Each dress was unique, and I can't seem to think of a single person who didn't look great.

There was a photo area, where I got two photo ops with my friends and I, and we got spray-painted shirts or hats. I got a shirt with my name on it, with a pink and purple Playboy bunny. My parents are so proud :D

The food was delicious, which is only to be expected, what with all the carbs... haha! You should have seen my plate. Minus the breaded chicken fingers (is that carbs? IDK) everything on my plate was carb-city. I had a breadstick, pasta, and french fries. That, my friends, is fried guilt. And the ice cream was tasty, too! I really got an impressive workout trying to dig into that bucket. LOL!

The picture montage was great, and I was pretty entertained by some of the more interesting pictures of Jenny over the years.... hehe. The music was wonderful too, covering everything from the older songs that are still pretty popular today to our current playlist: Britney Spears, Lady GaGa, Katy Perry. All those lovely, wholesome inspirations.....

In all, the party was completely wonderful. Sadly, during the dancing part, my light-up ring was defective and I didn't get a plastic fedora (Nodding my head like yeaaaa! Moving my hips like yeaaaa!), nor did I get a blow-up guitar or a light-up microphone. BUT! I kindly gave away my tambourine thingie to Courtney, who wanted one desperately, haha! I still have my cutely tacky necklace, though. And, I'll have you know, as I type this entry, I'm still wearing my dress and red shutter shades on my head ;)
