Differences, Dead Fish, and Sing-Alongs

Today at theRUSH, I went with the lovely Stefanie (wave hello, Stefanie!) and her entourage of multiple peeps :D But anyway, we got there, and it was the last week of Heroes & Villains, the program that had been going on for several weeks at theRUSH. I was majorly irritated 'cuz "Ignorance" (by the fabulous Paramore, featuring our homegirl Hayley Williams) wasn't played! I was all, grrr!
So yeah, Scot (genius founder of theRUSH) was going on talking about differences, and how young people today should be standing out rather than trying to blend in as we so often do. Because we are Christians, we should live by the standards of God and the Bible, not the standards of the world. And he mentioned something about these lovely suits that, when you go in water, the water doesn't affect your body. Which was the PERFECT example for our pretty little wise words for the day:

"Be in the world, not of it."

Basically, that means, be in the world, open yourselves to others, but above all else, before you listen to what the world is telling you to do, listen to what God is telling you to do. We are different because we are Christians, and we prove it by being in this world, not of this world. The world is, after all, limited and always wanting, and always coming to an end, but accept God and Jesus and their teachings into your life, and you're set for eternity.
Also, Bubbles, the fish that can only swim in circles 'cuz it got attacked by a crab and got some Nemo-esque qualities...... yeah. Bubbles died.
Then we went out to eat, and I got drunk on lemonade, but I was soooo full of it that i thought i was going to vomit but didn't. Even still, I stuffed down chicken wings. 'Cuz you don't turn down wings that good. You just don't. It should be a crime to do so.
And after all of this, we got back in the car, and we all sang along to "Paparazzi" "Don't Trust Me" "Ignorance" and "Good Girls Go Bad"! (I might inform you that these are easily some of the best songs EVER.)
So yeah! That was my day! Stay tuned for my post on my review of "Fame"!
