November!

Hola, everyone! November is here, and it is a very special, important time! For a lot of pretty obvious reasons..... but I think I'll list them here, anyway. Just 'cuz I can.

If we're going in time order here, the first important and special "November happening" would be on November 11, because that's the day that I get to meet Alex Meraz and Kiowa Gordon! For those of you not in the know, they would be Paul and Embry from the wolf pack in the upcoming Twilight Saga movies. And I get to meet them! And so does Stefanie!

Yesterday, we got up early and drove to a mall a half hour away from where we live. At which point we waited for two and a half hours standing in a line in a crowded, hot, boring parking garage. A ton of Twilight fans were there, waiting! The line was MASSIVE! Some people had even camped out from the night before! Stefanie and I got out of line (our parents saved our spots) and videotaped a poll, asking people, "Are you on Team Edward or Team Jacob? Why?" Doing that was pretty fun. We're going to post the video on our YouTube channel, and I'll try to post it here. We FINALLY got into Hot Topic, and we bought our fabulous New Moon Cast Tour 2009 t-shirts, along with a wristband ensuring us admittance to the Alex/Kiowa appearance! You can see the official tour shirt above.

Another awesome thing that happens in November is my school dance on November 13! The theme is "Dancing in the Moonlight". Isn't that nice? School dances are seriously awesome. I get to see all of my friends, dress up amazingly, and dance until they kick us out. Last time I think I stopped dancing, in about 2 1/2 hours, about 4 times. Once to eat. Another to go to the bathroom. And twice for water. That's it. The rest of the time, I was dancing to my favorite songs with my favorite people in my favorite clothes at my favorite event of the school year. So. Much. Fun.

Finally! And perhaps most obviously! November 20! NEW MOON!!!!!!

11.20.09

This is SO gonna be the movie event of the year! Twilight is, like, my favorite movie EVER, but it sucked. I'm not going to pretend it was a work of genius. But it's still my favorite, if that makes sense. Just because, well, it's Twilight. Logic just isn't logical anymore when you enter this epic franchise. But New Moon looks INCREDIBLE! All the action, and drama, and heartbreak, and suspense- even though we all know how it ends. Still, it's so exciting to have this phenomenon unravel before our eyes!!!!!!

Okay, okay. I think I'm calm now. Hey, would you look at that! All of the best things in November happen within the course of 2 weeks! Luck.... it happens :)

Friday the 13: Best. Day. Ever.

Hello, everyone! I wanted to write this blog in color to fully express my excitement! (And gay pride.... I kid, I kid.)

So everyone is always going on about, Friday the thirteenth, oh, it's bad luck, doom shall bequeath us all, blah blah blah. I'm here to tell you that they're all dirty, rotten, stinking, LIARS!!!!!!! And I shall tell you why the case may be...... that is, for me, of course :) Unless it all goes horribly wrong..... which it won't. Because it's my lucky day!!!!!

This year, it is my lucky day for two reasons! At first, I thought it was only one, but then I recieved this fabulous bit of information, and I was just like, this is a SIGN. A sign that Friday the 13 is, without a doubt, my absolute luckiest day in the history of life. Specifically, Friday, November 13, 2009.

What I already knew was that November 13 was the day of my school dance! My grade has a grand total of TWO dances every year, but they're always super-fun. They're easily the most anticipated days of the entire school year. At least, in my humble opinion, they are. I love dressing out of uniform, going to the dance with all my friends, having a blast and singing and dancing to all of our favorite songs. It's so incredible. Our normally boring cafeteria instantly becomes this lively party setting that every student can enjoy- definitely a big step up from "chamber of yelling adults and possibly poisonous unknown food substances".

The real reason why November 13 is such a big deal this year, though, is that Twilight stars are going off on their annual cast tour, and they're coming to a mall, what, a half hour drive from where I live? What are the odds that, out of 15 locations in the country they could have picked, they came in such close proximity to me? And on my lucky day? That, right there. That is FATE. Fate in its finest hour, fate finally giving back to me, after all the crap its put me through over the years! Fate is finally on my side! I was all prepared to take my chances, beg and plead to go to TwiTours for my birthday, in high hopes that I would meet a cast member in January. Oh, but why wait until January when you could meet them in THREE WEEKS?????? I'm close to fainting at the thought.

Who cares if wristband-buying time is at 8 A.M. on a Saturday morning, half an hour away, on Halloween, no less? Who cares if the thirteenth lands on a school day, and I can't miss school, or else I can't attend the dance? Or if the cast event conflicts with the school dance altogether? There will be other dances, yes? This is the opportunity of a lifetime. And I can't miss out on it. I don't care what the sacrafice is. No matter what price there is to pay, don't think for a second that I won't pay it. How in GOD'S NAME does anyone expect me to sit nicely in school, learning about exponents and eagles (I slightly wretch at the thought), when there are Twilight stars to be seen so close? I'm not taking THAT sitting down. In fact, I forsee a crying, screaming tantrum in front of my whole class. Yeah, meltdown in the middle of Algebra? Not cool.

And here is where we solve the problem..... I can just go the the Twilight star event! I shall perish otherwise. No matter what. This forever seals my opinion that Friday the 13 is, was, and always will be, the luckiest day EVER!!!!

Love,
Patty ♥♪♫☼
